Rushmore Love Stories: First Days

“My husband and I went to Mount Rushmore following our wedding reception on June 5, 1965. We were going to be in Vermillion for the summer and then move to Chicago in August. We both had strong feelings for Mount Rushmore and knew it would be a year before we would be able to visit Mount Rushmore again.

When I am up at Mount Rushmore, I often reflect on our lovely memory of visiting Mount Rushmore on our wedding day.”
