Apply to be a Kay Jorgensen Interpretive Intern

Are you interested in a career with the National Park Service or other land management agency? The Kay Jorgensen Interpretive Internship program at Mount Rushmore National Memorial is the perfect opportunity to get valuable experience to help you reach this goal.

Each year, six young adults from various backgrounds are chosen to participate in this 12-week paid internship at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Under the supervision of and guidance of the National Park Service, interns will prepare and present formal interpretive talks, work at the information desks answering visitors’ questions, provide Junior Ranger experiences, and contribute with informal interpretation opportunities while roving the park.
