Honor Veterans at Mount Rushmore

On Veterans Day, we join people across the country to pause and honor all who have served our country and thank them for their service.

But at Mount Rushmore, we don’t just celebrate our veterans one day a year.

Each night during the summer, literally hundreds of veterans and active duty service men and women gather together on the Amphitheater stage to retire the flag at Mount Rushmore. These heroes come from every corner of our country and represent every generation of veterans. As individuals, they represent dozens of different viewpoints, cultures, professions and experiences. Each night, they come together, remembering the common bond of their oath to “defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic” and retire Old Glory. It is a sight to behold and an emotional experience for participants and viewers alike.

You can help us continue to honor our veterans by making a contribution to the Mount Rushmore Society today.
